Thank you for joining us for the Calgary Aerial Acrobatics Intensive
Light & Motion was proud to bring New York Circus Arts Academy founder Cypher Zero to Calgary on Saturday July 17th for a special one-day-only Aerial Acrobatics Intensive. Due to the high level of interest we are considering doing another intensive in the fall. Check out the photos here. Special thanks to the The Flip Factory, Stephanie Spark, the Calgary Circus Studio and everyone else for putting the word out and donated the necessary equipment.
Light and Motion is a weekend long Prop Intensive to deepen your understanding and skill in the many forms of prop manipulation and the art of working fire. You do not need to be a seasoned prop addict to attend, we are equally interested in introducing people to some cool new toys as we are in inspiring seasoned professionals. All you need is a growing love of the hoop, spinning, juggling or fire and a desire to take a break from the chaos of life, meet some like-minded people, and enrich the sense of wonder and direction in your life.
What Makes This Special
This unique event is catered to multi-prop artists and as such it is your opportunity to connect with like-minded entertainers and hobbyists. The day doesn't just include specialized workshops taught by some of Canada's most experienced prop-addicts and performers, it also includes a evening cabaret, where your instructors will show you what they've got, and a late night dance party to let loose and play with your new skills.We have made every effort to create the perfect breeding ground for community and self discovery. Come play with us.
Don't have all the Toys?
Don't sweat it, all the props you need will be provided for the workshops. Although if you do have items you prefer to use, we do recommend you label them or keep them close. If you have extra props please bring them along with you for prop-less guests to play with!
